Team news: Walcott back in the squad
Arsène Wenger had plenty of positive injury news to announce when he attended his pre-match press conference on Friday.
This is what the Arsenal manager told reporters ahead of Saturday's trip to Newcastle:
on the players who are unavailable...
“Basically
we have Wilshere injured, hopefully in the short-term. Diaby is not
back before the end of August or the beginning of September. Everybody
else should be available.”
on Van Persie and Gibbs...
“Van Persie and Gibbs should be available. They have a test today [Friday].”
on Walcott and Vermaelen...
“Walcott will be back in the squad and so will Vermaelen.”
